Alternatively, go to Settings and enable Show Hidden Files. To show the files or folder, temporarily show the hidden files and then tap the three-dot icon. Select Discover from the menu.
You can even protect or hide your files with a password. If that’s not enough, you can password protect the entire application. Both of these features are available in the app Settings.
Other Simple Gallery features include a built-in photo editor, various sorting and layout modes, themes, trash, and more.
Another interesting gallery app is the 1Gallery app. It offers a separate folder known as the Secure folder for hiding photos and videos. You need to add your files to that folder. The folder can be protected with a fingerprint, code, or pattern. The app prides itself on encrypting hidden files.
To add a photo to the Protected album, open the file in the app and tap the three-dot icon. Select Move to Protect from the menu. Go to app settings to manage password and secure folder mode.
Other features of the app include a built-in photo editor, video trimmer, video playback with subtitles, and themes. The app offers various sorting and layout modes. You can even view the videos separately and search for large files using this app.
3. A + Gallery
Similar to the 1Gallery app, the A + Gallery app offers a secure Vault folder. You can hide and protect photos, videos, or the folder using a password. You can even back up files added to the Secure folder to the cloud.
To add photos to Secure Vault, open the photo and press the three-dot icon. Select Move to Safe Safe. Alternatively, open Secure vault and tap the Add (+) icon at the top. Select the photos you want to add to the list.
In addition to allowing you to hide photos on your Android phone, the A + Gallery app offers the ability to view photos online from services such as Dropbox, Facebook, etc. The gallery app offers powerful search, including the ability to view by color. And yes, the gallery app comes with a native photo editor.
4. F-Stop Gallery
F-Stop Gallery is a powerful photo gallery app with tons of features. You can hide the entire folder or selected photos and videos. Hidden files can be protected with a pin, pattern or fingerprint sensor.
To hide files, first, add a lock from the Gallery settings. Once added, touch and hold the thumbnail view of the selected photos you want to hide. Tap the three-dot icon and select Protect Media. You can view and access the protected folder from the left sidebar.
Other features include powerful search with logical operations (and, or), custom drag and drop sorting, themes, nested folders, smart folders, excluded folders, and more.
Yes, this photo and video gallery app is called Gallery. With a clean design, the Gallery app offers features such as various viewing and sorting modes. The app also supports a trash can, themes, and the ability to exclude folders.
To hide photos in this app, tap and hold the photo in the thumbnail view and tap the three-dot icon. Select Move to Media Vault from the menu. You can protect it using a pin, pattern and fingerprint. You can access the vault from the left sidebar.

Chances are your phone already has the Google Photos app. So you don’t need to install any third-party apps to hide photos. You can hide photos using the Google Photos storage feature.
